If one of your places of work for employment tax purposes is located in the Saarland or in Bremen, you specify in this menu option which one of your user wage types must be used in the employee association gross amount for the Saarland or for Bremen.
Employee associations exist in the Saarland and in Bremen. Members are all employees employed in the district. In these federal states, the employer pays contributions to the tax office for the employee associations. In Bremen, the employee association is divided into association for hourly paid workers and association for salaried employees.

Further notes
In the Fiscal Data D infotype (0012), specify which the employees for whom employee association contributions are to be paid in a special rule. For further information on this, please see the step Specify default values for tax procedures. Assignment to the hourly paid worker and salaried employees association in Bremen is carried out automatically in payroll accounting.
