In this step, you define the type of deadline date which is used for creating a date record for a notice of garnishment. The calculation of the deadline depends on § 222 ZPO and § 187 BGB.

Standard settings

There is an additional test for the standard deadline type for a notice of garnishment (40). If the deadline falls on a weekend or a public holiday, it is reset to the next working day.

Recommendation

  • If you use the standard deadline type (40), you can skip the next step, "Set up creation of a deadline record for garnishment notice".
  • If you want to create your own deadline type, add the additional test of the public holiday calendar for the deadline type in order to meet the legal requirements.
