In this step, you define which wage types the system includes in the percentage reduction of pay using the Additional Information on Basic Pay infotype (0304).
The system uses the following reduction methods for the indirect valuation of wage types in the Basic Pay infotype (0008):
- Reduction method Y
With reduction method Y, the numerator/denominator combination in the Additional Information on Basic Pay infotype is not taken into account.
- Reduction method Z
With reduction method Z, the numerator/denominator combination in the Additional Information on Basic Pay infotype is taken into account. This reduction method is the usual method.
Example
A bonus for unpleasant or hazardous work is exempt from salary reductions imposed as a disciplinary measure. To make sure that the system does not include this wage type in the percentage reduction of the Additional Information on Basic Pay infotype (0304), you assign the reduction method Y to this wage type in table T511.
Activities
To define a reduction method for a wage type, proceed as follows:
- Enter Germany.
- Select the required customer wage type and choose Detail.
- In the Indirect valuation area, enter the required reduction method.
- Save your changes.
