Payroll for pension recipients is based on payroll accounting for public sector employees. If the remuneration for an active public sector employee is stored in the Basic Pay infotype, this infotype would contain the pensionable pay for a pension recipient. As a result, a retired public sector employee has the same pay scale type, pay scale area, and pay scale group as in the active employment period.

In this step, you check the employee subgroups and assign them to employee groups. You also define a wage type model to enable you to generate default wage types based on the employee subgroup in the Basic Pay infotype (0008).

Example

The following wage types should be displayed as default wage types in the Basic Pay infotype (0008) when you enter the master data for a public sector employee:

  • Remuneration
  • Family-related bonus
  • General bonus

Requirements

Note that both the pension holder and all surviving dependants must be assigned to a payroll area.

Standard settings

The standard SAP system includes the model specification OV.

Activities

  1. To check the entries for the employee subgroup, choose Set up employee subgroups.
  2. To assign employee groups to employee subgroups, choose Assign employee group - employee subgroups.
  3. Check the default wage types under Define default wage types.
