Surviving dependant's insurance is a fixed percentage of the pension for the deceased pension holder. This percentage is fixed by law and must be entered in the system in this step. This is done by making an entry in the Payroll Constants table.
The following constants (%) are relevant when calculating the surviving dependant's insurance:
- OVVWI Widow/er
- OVVVW Orphan
- OVVUW Orphan (due to accident)
- OVVHW Half-orphan
Example
The widow's pension is sixty percent of the pension that the deceased person last received, or could have received if he or she had retired on the date of death. The constant OVVWI has the value 60.
Standard settings
In the standard SAP system, the default values of the constants are the values that are correct at the time of delivery. At the time of document creation, these values were:
Constant Payroll constant Value in %
OVVWI Widow/er 60%
OVVVW Orphan 20%
OVVUW Orphan (accident) 30%
OVVHW Half-orphan 12%
Activities
- In the Payroll Constants table (T511K), check or maintain the values for the following constants:
- OVVWI Percentage rate for widow/er's pension
- OVVHW Percentage rate for half-orphan's pension
- OVVVW Percentage rate for orphan's pension
- OVVUW Percentage rate for orphan's pension (due to accident)
- Choose Save.
