In this step, you assign the function models defined in the previous step to the organizational subareas for which the corresponding function models are to apply. This assignment applies for specific periods.

The payroll program uses the employee's organizational assignment for the current period to determine which function model is to be used.

The time restriction enables you to change the function model at a particular time and it is not necessary to change periods for which payroll has already been run.

Activities

  1. Choose the action Maintain return value in feature ODMOD.

    You access the maintenance interface for feature ODMOD.

    1. Modify feature ODMOD to meet your requirements and organization
      2. Note that the feature is also used for calculating the special bonus and vacation allowance as well as for calculating the leave and sick pay premium.
      You can differentiate between the functions in the decision tree for the feature (query field FUNKT).
    2. Choose Save.
  2. Choose Activate.
  3. Choose Back.
  4. Select the action Assign function model to return value.
    1. Enter Germany if necessary.
      2. You access the maintenance screen of the Assignment of function with selection of function table.
    2. Assign the function model to be used (Model field) to each return value for feature ODMOD (OrgKey field).
      3. The function key 05 is generally used for the Leave and sick pay premium function.
    3. Choose Save.

Further notes

Note that both a return value in feature ODMOD and an assignment to a function model must be available for each person, otherwise the payroll run will terminate at this point.
