In this step, you create the wage types to be used in the payment of the leave and sick pay premium.

These wage types are generated by the Leave and Sickness absences during absence valuation. They are valuated with the premium rate.

Standard settings

The SAP standard system includes a number of model wage types for the leave and sick pay premium:

  • Leave premium, leave premium (collective agreement for the public sector) sick pay premium

    The wage types are created with absence days during absence valuation.

  • Leave premium (industrial), sick pay premium (industrial)

    Absence valuation uses absence hours.

  • Leave premium (AVR), sick pay premium (AVR)

    In contrast to the normal leave and sick pay premium, the wage types themselves trigger premiums. This means that they are cumulated in irregular payments.

  • Sick pay premium KGZ (during sick pay supplement)

    The wage type is paid in the month in which it originates, instead of in a deferred payment.

Activities

  1. Choose Copy.
  2. Enter Germany.

    You access the maintenance interface of the wage type copier.

  3. In the CWType field, assign your own indicator to the wage types that you want to copy.

    Note that your own indicator must start with a number otherwise the original wage types provided by SAP will overwritten.

  4. Enter the wage type long text and the short text.
  5. Flag the required wage types.
  6. Choose Copy.
