In this step, you maintain the payroll constants that are used by the system to calculate the leave and sick pay premium. This covers the following constants:
- Percentage of salary increase rate
Some collective agreements (for example, BAT, MTArb) specify that leave and sick pay premium must also be adjusted if standard pay is increased. For these collective agreements, the supplement is increased by 80% of the standard pay increase.
This percentage rate (80%) is stored in the constant OUKAD.
- Percentage rate of daily average
In collective agreement BAT, the premium is 108 % of the daily average of all time bonuses for the previous calendar year.
This percentage rate is determined by the constant OUKAT.
- Rounding tolerance in case of change in standard working time
If the system determines that the working time has changed when it is calculating the leave and sick pay premium (infotype 0007 - Planned Working Time), it also checks that the change is not only due to a new standard working time (as specified in table T510I).
When the old and new ratios of the individual to standard working time are compared, the values can differ by the value stored in the constant OUKAR.
Standard settings
In the SAP standard settings, the constants are defined according to the statutory regulations. This means that you do not need to make any changes unless the collective agreements change, or your conditions differ from the collective agreements.

The dynamic modification of the premium rate for a standard pay increase is defined for the individual pay scale types in the model table T5D88.
