When factoring pay for the Public Sector, the system accesses the Basic Pay infotype (0008) to determine the monthly working time in hours. This infotype stores the working hours per month in the Hrs/mon field (field DIVGV). This value is included in the partial period factor TSDIVP, which is used in the following personnel calculation rules:
DOB3 (Salaried employees - BAT)
DOC1 (Hourly-paid employees - MTArb)
DOD2, DOD3 (Hourly-paid employees BMT-G II)
DOE1, DOE3 (Trainees)
The monthly working time in hours replaces the multiplication of the regular weekly working time with the factor 4.348. For a regular weekly working time of 38.5 hours, the monthly working time is 167.40 hours (= 38.5 hours * 4.348)
Further notes
The monthly working time is maintained for each individual employee in the Hrs/mon field of the Basic Pay infotype (0008). A change in the working hours per month in the Basic Pay infotype will affect the hourly deduction when the remuneration is factored.
When you create a new record in the Basic Pay infotype, a default value is displayed in the Hrs/mon field. This default value is maintained in Customizing for Time Management under Working Time Rule (table T508A).
