The interim bonuses for public sector employees can be transferred to the system using a legacy data transfer system. There are two ways to do this:
First method
You can import the interim bonus to a record in the Basic Pay infotype (0008). The record date is before the live start date.
In this case, the master data must start before the live start date so that the old interim bonus can be transferred to the infotype record 0008 together with the other pay data. Your customer wage type for the model wage type o032 (Interim bonus) is then provided with the current interim bonus data from the legacy system.
The Assessment basis for the IB (o033) and Transfer old IB (o034) wage types are also used for subsequent entries, for example, for additions to workforce. If required, copy the model wage types to your own wage type area.
Second method
If infotype 0008 is only available after the live start, use the two temporary wage types Assessment basis for IB (o033) and Transfer old IB (o034). These two temporary wage types must be defined in accordance with the step Set up wage types for interim bonus. These temporary wage types are used for the transfer of legacy data and also for subsequent additions to the workforce.
If the second method is used, the live start date from which the interim bonus is to be calculated must be stored in the system. This is because the Assessment basis for IB (o033) and Transfer old IB (o034) wage types should only be used for calculating the current transfer bonus for records at the time of the live start. The wage types are ignored in calculations in the subsequent records.
When the legacy data is transferred, the live start date can be transferred as the date type 04 (or as the date type stored with date indicator on the HR live start date), in infotype 0041 for each personnel number. Alternatively, this date can be controlled using feature DOPRS for the Public sector employee employee subgroup.
Recommendation
We recommend that you use the first method.
