In this step, you define an employer key for a specific period and assign a supplementary pension institution to the key. This allows you to split data according to employer key.
Example
A company has a personnel subarea in both pay scale area West and in pay scale area East. Employees in pay scale area West come under VBL Karlsruhe and employees in pay scale area East come under ZVK Thüringen. The employer assigns a different employer key to each personnel subarea. The employer key allows each employee to be assigned to one of the two supplementary pension funds.
Standard settings
In the standard system, an employer assigned to the VBL Karlruhe (West) is set up under the employer key 000001. The employer with the key 000002 is assigned to the VBL Karlsruhe (East). A 'dummy' employer has been set up with the key 00003. This employer reports to the 'dummy' SPF with the key 03. You can copy and subsequently set up all entries (please be aware of the customer name range).
Activities
You create a new employer key as follows:
- Choose New entries in the Employer table.
- Enter a 6-digit value in the Employer key field. Enter the supplementary pension fund key in the SPF Key field.
- Choose Save.
Instead of re-entering data, you can copy one of the SAP model entries as follows:
- Flag the model entry on the Employer table display screen.
- Choose Copy.
You are now in the employer table containing model entry data.
- Change the contents of the Employer key field, the SPF Key field and the From/To field.
- Choose Save.
