In this step you enhance your wage type model for public sector employees to include the Interim bonus if this bonus is not already included in your wage type model.

As of July 01, 1997, the following wage types are included in the wage type model for public sector employees:

  • (Basic) pay (o002)
  • Family-related bonus (o017)
  • Fam.: Spousal element (o018)
  • Fam.: Child element (o019)
  • General bonus (o020)
  • Interim bonus (o032)

If necessary, enhance your wage type model for public sector employees to include the Interim bonus wage type.

Requirements

You can only include the interim bonus if this wage type has been defined in the section Set up wage types for interim bonus.

Activities

To enhance your wage type model to include the interim bonus, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter country groupin 01 for Germany.

    You access the Default Wage Types for Basic Pay overview screen.

  2. In the Wage type model column, select the model for public sector employees.

    The wage type model ----10B- is decisive here. The most recent model uses the start and end date. Each wage type model contains several default wage types that are numbered in the Sequential number column.

  3. Check whether your wage type for the interim bonus is already listed in the most recent model.

    If this is the case, terminate this action now.

  4. Otherwise, select the entry with the highest sequential number in the most recent model.
  5. Choose Copy.

    A new table with the copied entry is then displayed.

  6. Modify the following values for the Interim bonus wage type.
    1. Increase the number by one.
    2. Enter 0 as the mode.
    3. Enter your internal indicator for the interim bonus.
  7. Choose Save.

&ADDITIONAL HINTS&

The wage types Assessment bases for the IB (o033) and Transfer of old IB (o034) are not suitable for the wage type model since they are only entered if required.
