In this step, you make sure that the definitive wage types from your own wage type area are included in the interim bonus that has already been set up. Provided that no amount is entered in the Transfer from old IB wage type (o034), the system uses the following wage types to valuate the interim bonus indirectly.

  • Basic salary (o002)
  • Family-related allowance: Single person share (o011)
  • General bonus (o020)

Instead of these three wage types, the corresponding wage types from your own wage type area should be listed here.

Requirements

This step can only be executed if the wage types for the interim bonus have been defined in the section Set up wage types for interim bonus.

Activities

To check that your own wage types have been included in the valuation, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the country grouping 01 for Germany.

    You access the Base wage types valuation overview.

  2. Choose Position, enter Total as the module name, and enter your own identifier for the interim bonus as the wage type.
  3. Check that your own wage types have been listed as the base wage types instead of the following wage types:
    • Basic salary (o002)
    • Family-related allowance: Single person share (o011)
    • General bonus (o020)
  4. If this is not the case, make the changes as follows:
    1. Flag the three wage types for the interim bonus.
    2. Choose Copy.
    3. In the Base wage types column, enter the indicator for your wage type to be included.
    4. Choose Save.

Further notes

The single person share of the family-related bonus is included in this valuation because it part of the comparison total for June 30, 1997. After July 01, 1997, this wage type is also 0 DM.

If the system is introduced after July 01, 1997, the Transfer of old IB (o034) and Assessment basis for the IB (o033) wage types are used.
