The feature is read when running payroll for, and when calling, the Non-Monetary Remuneration infotype. The feature determines whether a pay scale area is in the former East or West Germany. The feature expects a pay scale area to be entered. The return value for West Germany is 20, and for East Germany is 30. The program cannot process any other return values for the feature, and use of a different return value will cause an error message to be displayed or the personnel number to be rejected during the payroll run.
Example
An employer is employed in pay scale area 09 (= Saarland). The standard feature gives the return value 20 (= West Germany).
Standard settings
The standard system returns the following values
Value 20 for key 01 - 12
Value 30 for key 14 - 19
Value 20 for key 20
Value 30 for key 30
Activities
If you use the pay scale areas and keys provided in the standard system, the standard feature can be used. No further activities are required. If you use your own keys, the feature must be modified accordingly so that the customer keys can be processed.
