In this section you define the minimum number of days that can must exist as relevant attendance days when the maternity pay supplement is calculated.
If the employee has received pay on fewer days than specified in this constant during the three months prior to the maternity protection period (for example, due to unpaid leave), the automatic calculation of the supplement is terminated.
If this is the case, you must enter the maternity pay supplement or the supplement bases manually.
Example
If you want to specify that least 60 calendar days must exist for automatic supplement calculation to take place, enter the appropriate value for the MSCHT constant.

Standard settings
In the standard SAP system, the minimum number of days is set at 30 days. This figure has been selected since there is no specific legal requirement. The employer can choose the minimum number of days that are required to calculate the average remuneration.
Activities
- Enter the country grouping 01.
You access the maintenance screen for the payroll constants.
- Maintain the constant MSCHT using your required number of paid attendance days.
- Choose Save.
Further notes
You can also use a different constant name. If you do so, please note that you must enter the alternative name in the model table for supplement calculation.
