In this section you define an individual valuation rule for the Maternity Protection absence.
In previous releases (up to and including Release 3.0f), automatic calculation of the maternity pay supplement was dependent on the existance of a valuation rule. In other words, if an absence with the corresponding valuation rule was found during payroll accounting, the supplement calculation would take place.
For this reason, it was necessary to define a rule that was assigned exclusively to the Maternity Protection absence. Other absences, for example, reserve duty training exercises, had a different code.
As of Release 4.0B, the counting class that is relevant for the calculation is determined using an absence indicator assigned to the absence type (step Flag maternity protection absence).
As a result, it is no longer necessary to set up a special valuation rule.
