In this section you maintain the model for automatic calculation of the maternity pay supplement.
It is usually required that you replace the model wage types in the model with your own customer wage types.
You should check all other settings.
Standard settings
The SAP standard system includes three different calculation models that you must modify accordingly:
Model Description
- 00
- The maternity pay supplement is not calculated automatically.
- 01
- The maternity pay supplement is calculated in accordance with the most recent statutory regulations. This means that remuneration changes that become effective during the protection period are taken into account in the calculation. If you use this model, it is no longer necessary to initiate the calculation of the bases three months before the start of the maternity protection period using a wage type. The bases are recalculated in each payroll month during the maternity protection period using the pay scale information for the three payroll periods prior to the maternity protection period.
- RR
- The calculation model corresponds to the previous statutory regulation, whereby any future changes to remuneration were not taken into account. The bases for the supplement calculation are formed in the three months prior to the start of the maternity protection period and remain unchanged for the future calculations. Calculation is not triggered automatically. It is initiated instead by an input wage type (net amount without number and amount). The model should be used exclusively for the payroll past when bonuses were calculated using Release 3.0F and the PSG supplement. This avoids retroactive accounting differences resulting from the new calculation variant (in this case, model 01). In contrast to model 01, no SPF calculation takes place when calculating the bases.
Activities
- After entering the country grouping 01, you access the maintenance interface for the model table.
- Select a model.
- Choose Details
You access the detail screen for the table for the selected model.
- Check the settings for the different calculation models.
- Replace the SAP model wage types by the customer wage types created in the previous steps.
- Choose Save.
Further notes
If you have also created your own payroll constants, you must enter these in the model you are using. This means that you can use them as an alternative to the standard constants in Payroll Accounting.
