During months with reduced working hours, employees should receive at least 90% of the usual net remuneration.
An allowance is paid which is the difference between the usual net remuneration and the sum of the reduced wage, reduced hours compensation and 90% of net remuneration amount.
Example
Regular net remuneration: 2,500.00 DM
Reduced wage: 1,000.00 DM
Reduced hours compensation: 1,000.00 DM
Reduced hours allowance; 250.00 DM
Prerequisites
Almost three period payroll runs are required to determine this allowance. The three runs are performed internally one after the other.
After importing the basic data, payroll is run for employees with with allowance variant 30 without taking reduced hours into account.
This net amount is saved in wage type /634.
Payroll with reduced hours is then performed.
The allowance is then calculated by rule DKR0 and included in wage type /624.
Recommendation
Activities
To set up the allowance procedure you must activate subschemas:
- Subschema DKM0 in schema D000.
The comparison net amount that the employee would have received without
reduced hours is calculated here. - Subschema DKN1 in schema DKU1
The allowance is calculated and placed in wage type /624. - The employees then require the appropriate allowance variant in the
Reduced Hours infotype.
You can set this for your employees in the
Define Employees Affected step.
Additional information
- You should include all customer modifications in schema D000 in the
subschemas DKM0 and DKN1.Functions that are not relevant when calculating the comparison
net amount can be deactivated. - You can include the allowance in its own wage type.
- The allowance is calculated in schema DKU0 using calculation rule
DKR0 and included in wage type /624.
You can copy the rule and use another percentage rate for the
allowance and include it in a different wage type. - You should note, however, that you should deal with the variables and just as they are dealt with in the sample rule.
- If the gross amount used to calculate the comparison net amount is too
low, the gross difference can be corrected. The wage type MK60 is included in the standard system for this purpose.
