Given that for periods before 1.1.1998 reduced hours compensation is calculated on the basis of lost hours, which are multiplied by an hourly rate, it is necessary to create a valuation basis. Proceed as described below.

Make sure that you delimit any entries which you make to the period before the 1.1.1998. otherwise the current settings may be overwritten and false reults could possibly be created.

The valuation basis for employees with fixed payments is generally determined from the regular monthly payments.

  1. Valuation basis for employees with fixed payments:
    1. Employees with fixed hourly wage:

If on the lost day, the employee is employed, for example, on a time wage basis, then the gross hourly wage as defined by the collective bargaining or contractual agreements, serves as a basis for the calculation of the RHC.

Additionally, capital formation savings plans must also be taken into consideration.

    2. Employees who receive a monthly wage or a fixed salary:

The remuneration which is liable to social insurance deductions generally serves as a basis for the valuation basis.

The user wage types for the hourly wage, the monthly wage, the salary and the capital formation savings plan have to be coded as 1 in the processing class 71.

For piecework or incentive wage earners the collective bargaining or contractually agreed hourly wage is replaced by the remuneration which the employee received in the previous or last-but-one payroll period.

  1. Valuation basis for employees with variable payments:
    1. Code bonuses which are stored in the wage type with amount with 2.
    2. Code bonuses which are stored in the wage type with number with 3.
    3. Code bonuses which are stored in the wage type with amount and number with 4.

If you want the bonuses from the previous month to be taken into consideration, the appropriate special regulation must be stored in the infotype reduced working hours for the employees.

You define the assignment of the special regulations in the step determine authorized persons.

In this case the variable elements in the personnel calculation schema DKU0 are imported using function DKUG with parameter VAR .

If you do not use the special regulations, the bonuses are considered according to the current month.

  1. Wage shares which are not considered for the valuation basis:
    1. Overtime bonuses
    2. Non-recurring payments
    3. Annually recurring payments
    4. Tax and social insurance exempt contributions
    5. Separation allowances, travel costs

Requirements

Your wage type catalogue for the current payments and the bonus wage types is installed.

Standard settings

The model wage types were delimited accordingly for the fixed payments.

Activities

  1. Mark your wage types for the valuation basis in the processing class 71.
  2. If you pay variable payments as mentioned above and they are to be included in the valuation basis you should also check the personnel calculation schema DKU0.
  3. You should consider the special regulations when defining the authorized persons.
