The calculation of reduced hours compensation and seasonal reduced hours compensation is based on the planned remuneration and the actual remuneration.

  • Forming Planned Remuneration

The planned remuneration is the remuneration that the employee would have received without lost hours. It is composed of all income liable to contributions according to SGB III (sec. 342 and the following). Remuneration for overtime and non-recurring payments are not considered. In the processing class 71, the relevant wage types are to be coded with 1.
For employees who receive a monthly income these are, for example, wage types for salary, monthly salary, and capital formation savings payments.
For employees with an hourly wage, these are, for example, wage types for the hourly wage, performance bonuses, and capital formation savings payments.

Wage types that are to flow directly into planned remuneration with the amount without further processing need to be coded with 6 in processing class 71.

Variable payments and bonuses for night work, working on a Sunday, and working on a public holiday for which the planned remuneration from the current month cannot be determined can be calculated using an average from the previous periods. In processing class 71, you need to use the code 2 for wage types that are to flow into the planned remuneration in this way.

  • Forming Actual Remuneration

The actual remuneration is the remuneration that the employee actually received including the remuneration for overtime. Non-recurring payments are not considered. The actual remuneration is formed using cumulation 70 for reduced hours compensation and seasonal reduced hours compensation.
For example, for employees with a monthly wage, the wage types for the monthly wage, salary, and capital formation savings payments are to be coded.
For example, for employees with an hourly wage, all time wage types and capital formation savings payments are to be coded.
Remuneration for overtime worked increases the actual remuneration. The corresponding wage types are to be coded in cumulation 70.

You can use the activity Create Special Rule for Infotype 49 to define any special rule to suit your own requirements. You can query this special rule in a personnel calculation rule, using the operation DKUG WS. You can thereby use a calculation rule to control exceptions for particular employees.

If you change the personnel calculation schema DKU1, you branch to the schema in which the RHC module for calculating the reduced hours compensation or seasonal reduced hours compensation is called.

The special rules 01, 02, and 11 contained in the standard SAP system are used to determine the variable payments from previous periods to add them to the planned remuneration. For special rule 01, the payments that are coded with 2 in processing class 71 are determined from the month before the start of the data record in the infotype Reduced Working Hours/Seasonal RWH (0049). For special rule 02, the month before the previous month is used as the basis. With special rule 11, the variable payments can be determined from the month before the start of the first loss of working hours. This complies with the legal requirements.
If the wage types are coded with 2, they are determined from the current month, providing no special rule is defined in the infotype Reduced Working Hours/Seasonal RWH (0049). You can limit the validity of this functionality under Change Validity Interval for Determining Var. Payments. To do so, maintain the entry for KUGV.
