The program for determining leave reserve calculates a remuneration amount that an employee would receive if compensated for open leave.
You must now inform the program which wage types from the payroll results are to be used to calculate this leave remuneration.

Standard settings

The standard R/3 system contains the form indicator DURL.

Activities

You must specify how each wage type is to be processed by the program.
The 'Arithmetic symbol' field enables you to control whether or not a positive wage type amount is deducted from the leave remuneration. If this is the case, please enter a '-' for these wage types in this column.

Further notes

If you want to use certain wage types only for certain person subgroups, this can be controlled by means of the 'CType' (column type) field. Please specify an indicator in this column for these wage types. The indicator stands for a certain person subgroup. You determined which indicator is connected to which person subgroup in the previous step.

The program makes a distinction between two types of remuneration.
The first is recurring remuneration received by an employee. This forms the basis for fictitious SI accounting, used to determine the additional payroll fringe costs.
The second is the leave remuneration described at the beginning of this step.
If a wage type is included both in basic remuneration and leave remuneration, you need not set any indicators for it.
If a wage type is only included in basic remuneration, you must mark it with a B in the WType column.
If a wage type is only used for leave remuneration, mark it with a U in the WType column.

If an employee has unpaid days off during a payroll period, his/her recurring remuneration is lower than the remuneration normally paid. The basic remuneration used when determining payroll fringe costs would be too low for these employees.
Basic remuneration for these employees must be calculated in a differentway. This calculation is based on wage type /462, which contains an estimation basis for the recurring remuneration during this period. Wage types which are marked with a U in the CType column are used as basic remuneration for employees with unpaid absences. In the standard R/3 system this is wage type '/462', as described above.
