In the preceding step, you defined statistics areas.
Defining and setting up statistics takes place in two steps.
In the first step, the individual statistics are assigned to the statistics areas.
You can assign characteristics to statistics which you have defined which a person must possess in order to be authorized for these statistics. To assign characteristics to statistics, select a statistic on the overview screen and click "Exceptions to a statistic".
Example
In the standard system, the severly challenged persons display was assigned to the statistics area 'Legal statistics', for example. Employee characteristics (exceptions) are stored in the system for the severely challenged persons display. For example, employees who perform charity work must be processed in a particular way for this evaluation. Since this characteristic cannot be stored in the standard system, it has been included as an exception here.
Requirements
Please consider which statistics you want to create yourself and to which statistics area you want to assign them. Store employee characteristics (exceptions)

Use the standard as a reference to carry out this step.
Activities
Create a new entry by copying an existing one.
In this case, specify the indicator for the statistics area to which you want to assign your own statistics.
Furthermore, you assign a reference number for your new statistics and provide your statistics with a short text.
Further notes
It is recommended to continuously number the reference numbers for the statistics starting with '01'.
The preparations you make here affect the application of the infotype Statistics.
You have assigned the statistics to a statistics area.
If you call up the infotype Statistics, and you specify this statistics area as a Subtype, the statistics appears on the entry screen of the infotype.
