An employee's nationality is in the Personal Data infotype. However, a nationality key is reported in the DEUEV. In this step, you determine the assignment of the nationality key to the nationality (country).
Example
The employee is a Swiss citizen. In the infotype Personal data, 'CH = Switzerland' is entered in the Nationality field. In the DUEVO, the nationality key '158 = Swiss' is to be reported. Enter 158 in the field Nationality.
Standard settings
A number of countries are available in the standard SAP system. The nationality key is already maintained for these countries.
Recommendation
Check the assignment of country to nationality.
Activities
If you have created new countries, you must assign them to a nationality.
Further notes
You can only enter permitted nationality keys. If the nationality keys change or new ones are added, these are generally delivered by SAP. However, you can maintain them yourself in the steps 'Recurring modifications' and 'Modifications due to legal changes' under Maintain nationality key. You can find the permitted nationality keys in the latest publications of the leading associations.
