This feature is necessary, when the gross official housing key 3 is used. Depending on various collective agreement allocations and the official housing modifier 1, you can select the cost-of-living elements which should be calculated. For example, the level 1 cost-of-living allowance is used in Hesse, level 4 is used in all other federal states (irrespective of which level the employee is actually assigned to). Unmarried allowance for public officials ceased on the 1st of July 1997 but is still available for salaried employees.
