In this step you assign internal pay scale type 80 to your pay scale types. This enables the system to identify which of your pay scale types are to be processed using the construction industry functions.
Example
Two types of collective agreement can be identified in an enterprise:
- The Construction industry pay scale type is flagged with 80 internally.
- The Chemicals pay scale type does not have an internal collective agreement type key.
Standard settings
The internal pay scale type '80' is only assigned to the pay scale type.

Requirements
You should already have set up your pay scale types in the step Define pay scale type.
(The step can be found in the unit Personnel administration / Payroll data / Basic payments).
Activities
Assign internal pay scale type 80 to your pay scale types which are to be processed using the construction industry functionality.
Further notes
Payroll for the construction industry activates the SW_Construction pay switch via the DBAU STSW function in case the employee is assigned to a pay scale flagged with the internal pay scale type 80 /Construction industry).
The SW_Construction_pay switch can be queried via the IF BAU function and the operation DBAU SW.
