According to the pay scale, an employee receives a separation allowance if he/she lives at a set distance from the place of work and can therefore not be expected to return home.

  1. Define permissible separation allowances:

    Specify how many different separation allowance rates are used in your company.

  2. Describe separation allowances:
    1. Specify the wage type for the separation allowance for use in Payroll.

      These wage types are displayed in the Time statement table and the results table.

    2. Specify the separation allowance for payroll.

      The amount paid as a separation allowance can be determined according to the length of time for which the person is employed on the construction site.

      You must specify how many days the employee must be employed on the construction site in order to receive the allowance.

      Otherwise, the employee is paid the other allowance amount.

      This data may change from one year to the next.

Example

Industrial workers are to be paid an allowance according to the length of time they are employed on one construction site.

  • If they are employed for more than 7 days, they receive a payment of DM 60.40.
  • If they are employed for up to 7 days, the separation allowance is 72.50DM.
