  1. Define admissible meals allowances:

    You must determine how many different meals allowances are used in your company.

  2. Describe meals allowances:
    1. You must define a wage type which is to contain the meals allowance.
      These wage types are stored in the daily statement for construction industry and in the payroll results table.
    2. You determine the lump sum of the meals allowance.
    3. You must also determine the number of hours the employee must be absent from his/her home in order to receive the meals allowance.

      This data may change from one year to the next.

Example

You want to give salaried employees a different allowance from that awarded to other employees. You also want the allowance to be different according to the length of time the employee is absent from home:

  • Salaried employees receive a meals allowance as of 10 hours
  • All other employees receive a meals allowance at all times

Requirements

You should already have created your wage type catalog.

Standard settings

The above example is illustrated by the sample entries provided in the standard R/3 system.

Create an entry for each possible model and valuate the entry.

Further notes

Transportation costs can also be reimbursed for the data on home and place of work using the Reimburse Transportation Costs field in the Expenses infotype.
