In this step, you assign wage type groups to your wage types.
Example
All wage types concerned with winter compensation are assigned to the Winter Compensation wage type group.
Requirements
You must already have defined the wage types for the construction industry in the wage type catalog.
Standard settings
If you created your wage types by copying model SAP wage types, they are assigned to the same wage type groups as the copy templates.
If this is the case, you can ignore this step.
Activities
If you did not use the model SAP wage types to create your wage types, assign your wage types to the appropriate wage type groups for the construction industry, all of which begin with the letter 'B'.
Further notes
When you subsequently code wage types using the Implementation Guide (for example, wage type characteristics, processing classes, and cumulations), you can only maintain wage types that are assigned to one or more wage type groups.
