In this step, you create processing reasons for the processing types. The processing reason is the concrete specification of the processing type. There can be several processing reasons for a processing type.
Whereas the processing type determines the fundamental procedure when calculating pensions using report RPCWVSD0, the processing reason specifies which additional checks should be made.
Checks:
Age limit: For every entitlement, the minimum age and the minimum age for men and women are stored. Here, you can decide for which of the age limits the system checks.
Waiting time: A waiting time check is made for the entitlements selected when calculating the pension.
Vesting: A non-forfeitability check is made for the entitlements selected when calculating the pension.
Example
The Individual Pension processing type has the processing reasons Retirement Pension, Early Retirement Pension and Disability Pension assigned. The general procedure is determined by the processing type and is the same for all three reasons. There are differences when checking the age limit. In the case of Invalidity Pension, no check should be made. In the case of a Retirement Pension the employee must be at least 65 years old. In the case of an early retirement pension, he/she must be at least 60 years old.
Requirements
You have maintained all processing types accordingly. In the unit Qualification Checks, you have set up the relevant checks (age limit, waiting time, vesting).

Consider which processing reasons you require for your processing types. You always require several reasons for a type if different qualification checks must be made for each reason.
If necessary, create new processing reasons.
Select the checks to be made.
Further notes
Take the special features for surviving dependant's pensions into consideration. In the case of a surviving dependant's pension, the testator's data (basic pension payments) is taken into consideration in the pension calculation (Report RPCWVSD0). For this reason, the Testator Data indicator must be selected in the Data Origin group.
