You want to trigger a vesting calculation when an employee leaves the company. To do this, a projection to the age of 65 must take place, followed by a proportional reduction. This increase rule is stored, for example, with the processing subtype 'Leaving with VE Check'.
A pension is derived from a vested entitlement. The valuation must take place again when the pension is started so that the projection is only carried out to the actual pension start date. This must always be specified in the rules for the increase calculation. This increase rule is defined for the processing subtype 'Retirement Pension' for the result of the 'Confirmed VE' condition.
You want to simulate the expected pension using the current data as the basis. You run a projection from the key date to the age of 65, however no proportional reduction is performed after that. This increase rule is stored for the processing subtype 'Simulation'.

Recommendation
Each business process described in the example must have its own increase rule. These rules are attached to the same entitlement but are assigned to a different processing subtype for pension calculation.
You can also enhance the breakdown further and store different increase rules for different events in the pension calculation.
