Definition
Assign a target entitlement for the calculation of guaranteed payment to an entitlement.
Description
You want to replace a legacy entitlement in your pension plan with a new entitlement. You perform a calculation of guaranteed payment such that the legal right to future pension payments value of the old entitlement calculated for the key date is stored in the CPS database as a vested payment for this entitlement. The target entitlement of the vested payment is then the new entitlement for your pension plan. This field is saved in the vested payment in the CPS database.
The following valuations for the new entitlement then automatically recognize that this vested payment is to be used.
Example
You want to replace entitlement A100 with entitlement A200 on March 3, 2000. The old entitlement started on July 1, 1980. On February 1, 2001, a pension calculation is to be performed.
The calculation of guaranteed payment results in a monthly pension of 500 euro for entitlement A100. A200 is stored as the target entitlement. In the pension calculation, only entitlement A200 is valuated. The period from July 1, 1980 to February 29, 2000 is valuated for entitlement A200 with the vested payment of entitlement A100. From March 1, 2000 until February 1, 2001, the valuation of entitlement A200 results in a further 200 euro. This results in a total monthly pension of 700 euro.
