Example
The following pension contributions to be annuitized exist for an employee:
01/01/1978 # 12/31/1988 6.000 DM per year
01/01/1989 # 12/31/1999 8.000 DM per year
The annuitization factors for the employee contribution and for the employer contribution are as follows (according to pension plan):
EE 01/01/1978 # 12/31/1988 20 %
EE 01/01/989 # 12/31/1999 30 %
ER 01/01/1978 # 12/31/1988 100 %
AG 01/01/1989 # 12/31/1999 80 %
The employee#s monthly pension contribution is 300 DM:
6000 DM / 12 * 20 % = 100 DM
8000 DM / 12 * 30 % = 200 DM
100 DM + 200 DM = 300 DM
The employer share of the pension is calculated as a percentage of the employee share. The employer#s monthly pension contribution is 260 DM:
100 DM * 100 % = 100 DM
200 DM * 80 % = 160 DM
100 DM + 160 DM = 260 DM
The monthly pension therefore equals 560 DM.
300 DM + 260 DM = 560 DM
In the views for the basis calculation, specify which contributions are relevant to the pension.
Standard settings
With the Pension Fund calculation method, a pension is calculated from a basic contribution. This pension for this contribution is annuitized by multiplying the contribution by a pension percentage.
Further notes
In the standard system, the Pension Fund calculation method uses the function module RP_01C_BV_CONTRIBUTION.
