Example
You want to trigger a vesting calculation if an employee leaves the company. To do this, the system must perform a projection to age 65 and then perform a proportional reduction. This increase rule is stored, for example, in the processing subtype 'Leaving with VE check'.
A pension exists as the result of a vested entitlement. The pension must be revaluated on the pension start date since the projection is to be performed up to the date when the pension is due, and not to the age of 65. This must be specified separately in the rules for the increase calculation. This increase rule is defined in the processing subtype 'Retirement pension' for the condition 'Confirmed VE'.
You want to run a simulate the estimated pension on the basis on the current data. You run a projection to the age of 65, however, no subsequent proportional reduction takes place. This increase rule is stored in the processing subtype 'Simulation'.
Standard settings
In this step, you maintain the rules for the projection of a pension entitlement in the future. These rules are assigned to the entitlement and to the processing subtype for the pension calculation.
Recommendation
Each business process described in the example must contain its own increase rule which is assigned to the same entitlement but which is, however, assigned to another processing subtype in the pension calculation.
This means that you can preform a detailed breakdown and store different increase rules for different actions in the pension calculation.
