Example
You only want to allow a total of 2 fixed rules for the conversion from an entitlement, such as the conversion of a fixed amount and also of a variable amount that the employee is able to change at any time. Define both of these conversion types here.
Standard settings
Define all possible conversion types for your various entitlements.
Activities
The conversion type enables you to split an entitlement#s conversion rules as required by payroll. If, for example, a non-recurring payment is to be converted and, assuming that doing so does not fulfill the required conversion, the regular remuneration is also to be converted up to a level of 10%, both of these conversions are represented by two conversion types with the same entitlement.
Further notes
The conversion type is a key criterion of the salary conversion (263) infotype. From a technical point of view, the field concerned is OBJPS. An infotype record with time constraint 2 can be created for each entitlement and conversion type.
