In this step, you define all activity types in your company and determine various rules.

Activity Types Definition

You create activity types and assign the following rules:

Derivation Type

Here, we distinguish between:

  • Entitlement Benefit:
    The activity type is determined using the entitlement. The calculation procedure depends on the entitlement. The entitlement benefit is the usual case of the activity type.
    ATTENTION:
    An activity type that is indicated as activity type must always be assigned to an entitlement. Otherwise pension calculation (RPCWVSD0) will be terminated.
  • Supplementary Benefit:
    Supplementary benefit is an activity type that is granted in addition to the activity type. For supplementary benefit, a calculation procedure must be specified in the Calculation Procedure field.

    Example: Valuation of Attributable Periods for Disabled Persons
    An employee who becomes disabled at the age of 50, receives a pension that is made up in the following way:
    • Entitlement benefit : Pension valuated up to retirement because of disability
    • Supplementary Benefit:Projection of the benefit to the period from the 50th to the 55th year.
  • Bonus:
    In addition to the entitlement benefit, a bonus is granted. A calculation procedure must be entered in the Calculation Procedure field.

    Example: Child Benefit
    The entitlement valuation produces the value of 500DM. For every child under 18 years old, a bonus of 10 % = 50 DM is paid.

Activity Type Rules:

Wage Type

Here, you specify the wage type, under which the pension arising from the activity type is saved in the Basic Pension Payments CPS infotype (0201).
If you do not make any entries here, the activity type is saved under the wage type for the respective entitlement.

Pension Type

Here, you specify the pension type under which the activity type is saved in the Pension Basic Payments infotype.
If you do not make any entries here, the activity type is saved under the pension type for the respective entitlement.

Benefits Provider

Here, you assign a benefits provider to the activity type.
