Example
You have specified an entitlement waiting period of five years for your pension plan.
Requirements
Standard settings
You can store the rules for the waiting period check for each entitlement. You can store the waiting period as a constant. The waiting period check takes place at the start of the entitlement or, alternatively, a different time can be specified. (Entitlements infotype).
You can also enter an enhanced waiting period check with an earlier start date.
Alternatively, the waiting period can be linked to the benefit type.
Recommendation
Store the rules for the entitlement waiting period check. You can enter the alternative waiting period checks for the individual benefit types in this entitlement separately.
Different pension calculation processes are triggered depending on the result of this check.
Further notes
The waiting period check must be activated for the processing subtype for the pension calculation so that a waiting period check takes place when the pension is calculated.
An online waiting period check can also be performed in the Entitlements infotype. In this case, however, only the entitlement rules are evaluated.
