For the three examples, only the fields of the value type entries filled with a value are displayed. For example, value type 0300 (employment period) does not have an assignment to the entitlement. Therefore, the field for the entitlement remains empty for this value type.

The meaning of the start and end date of the value types depends on the value type. For value type 0300, this period indicates the time span in which a particular part-time percentage was valid. However, for value type T100 (status of pension rights), the end date indicates the key date on which the accrued pension rights were determined. The start date indicates the key date for issuing the previous year#s pension rights statement.

You must define the meaning of the start and end date for your customer value types.

Standard settings

A value type is an operand in the company pension scheme that has a fixed business meaning. A value type is generally comprised of multiple value type entries (see the accompanying examples).

Value types are saved in the pension calculator and can be stored in table PDAVRT of the CPS database for a run of the pension calculator as required.

A value type is generally comprised of multiple value type entries. The time variation of the value types can be represented in this way. It is also possible to make an assignment to the entitlement of benefit type. Via an assignment to table PDAVLT, value types can be assigned to additional criteria.

Recommendation

If you use the value type concept for customer developments, it is recommended that you use the appropriate standard tools to process the value types in the pension calculator.

You use function module RP_01C_READ_AV to import a value type into your customer exit. You use function module RP_01C_APPEND_AV to insert a value type entry into the processing table of the pension calculator. You use function module RP_01C_MODIFY_AV to modify a value type. If the value type does not yet exist, it is attached. You can use function module RP_01C_OPERATE_AV to link value types to each other or to perform simple roundings to value types. You can use function module RP_01C_DELETE_AV to delete a value type.
