Standard settings
The standard system includes the following pension types:
- Individual pension
- Surviving dependant's pension
- Other pensions.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you use the pension types in the standard system.
Further notes
The difference between an individual pension and a pension for a surviving dependant is important in payroll accounting. When a pension is valuated for tax, the corresponding pension exemption amounts are calculated based on the pension type (surviving dependant's pension or individual pension).
