In this step, you set up the absence events and rules required for grouping absences.
Absence events set up in this section are entered in master data maintenance in the infotype Absence Event (0405). The infotype Absence Event (0405) creates default values for absence records based on the rules you define, and allows you to overwrite these default values.
Saving the settings, creates the respective absence records in the infotype Absences (2001).
Standard settings
The standard system includes a sample entry for the rule used to display Preventive medical actions and rehabilitation (health cures) in accordance with the German Federal Vacation with Pay Act.

Set up additional rules and absence events to meet your company's requirements.

Procedure for assigned rule
- Create absence records with the absence type Leave days for health cure for the first two days of every five workdays (provided there are five workdays in the week). Public holidays must be treated as a day off, that is, do not include public holidays when counting the number of workdays.
- Enter absence records with the absence type Health cure for the remaining calendar days.
