Use

In this Customizing activity, you define groups that you want to use to calculate an employee's seniority using a particular rule. The system uses the rules that you specify for each group to calculate the seniority of employees who you assign to a group. Since an employee's seniority determines the length of the medical treatment period to which an employee is entitled, you link each group to a medical treatment entitlement period.

Requirements

• You have defined the corresponding calculation rule for service year.
• You have defined the group ID for accumulation period in the field Ind in the Customizing activity Specify Medical Treatment Entitlement and Accumulation Period (view T7CN84).

Standard settings

Activities

1. For each category of employees in your company, for which you calculate seniority differently, define a group ID.
2. For each group that you define, specify the corresponding seniority calculation rules and the group that determines the medical treatment period to which employees are entitled.
