Standard settings
The standard system reviews the value(s) defined in feature 07EEA to determine, per personnel subarea, the wage type bucket(s) to be applied during the calculation of the number of "hours worked" for Employment Equity Act salary proration. This step of the Implementation Guide enables your enterprise to overrule the standard wage type bucket defined in feature 07EEA so that customer-specific wage type buckets can be applied to your personnel subareas for Employment Equity Act salary proration.
As delivered, the wage type bucket assigned to all personnel subareas within feature 07EEA is PROH (Hours worked for salary proration).
Requirements
If your enterprise wishes to use a wage type bucket other than PROH for Employment Equity Act salary proration, then follow the instructions below. If your enterprise does not require a non-standard wage type bucket to be used, then you do not need to configure your system as instructed below.
Activities
Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
On the subsequent screen, select PView -> Table Maintenance to review the standard structure of feature 07EEA, shown below:
Variable key C D Operations
000010 D PERSK 000020 ** &07EEA=PROH,
From line 000020 of the feature forward, replace the entry ** with the personnel subarea(s) desired, and the entry PROH with the name(s) of the customer-specific wage type bucket(s) to be applied to the personnel subarea(s). Upon making this change for a single personnel subarea - K1 - feature 07EEA would appear, for example, as follows:
Variable key C D Operations
000010 D PERSK 000020 K1 &07EEA=EEA1,
To apply wage type bucket EEA1 to personnel subarea K1 and wage type bucket EEA2 to personnel subarea K2, modify feature 07EEA as shown below:
Variable key C D Operations
000010 D PERSK 000020 K1 &07EEA=EEA1, 000030 K2 &07EEA=EEA2,
Select Feature -> Save to save the modified feature.
Generate the feature and exit this section of the Implementation Guide.
Once you have completed the configuration contained in this section of the IMG, the EEA Report will apply the wage type bucket(s) you have assigned to the personnel subarea(s) during the calculation of the number of "hours worked" for Employment Equity Act salary proration.
