In this step, you define the default subtype of Infotype 0006 (Addresses) that will be used for the printing and distribution of employee copies of year-end forms T4, T4A, T4A-NR, Relevé 1 and Relevé 2.
Standard settings
As delivered, the standard system is pre-configured to print the address of the employee's permanent residence on employee copies of year-end forms. Also, if the distribution of employee copies is outsourced, the employee's permanent residence is the default address to which year-end forms are sent. Both of these defaults correspond to subtype 1 of the Addresses infotype: Permanent residence.
Activities
Execute this IMG step. On the subsequent screen, you will find the initial maintenance screen of feature ADDRS.
Select the Decision tree radio button, then Change.
On the screen thereafter, review the value assigned to variable key YER. As delivered, this key is associated with the value &ADDRS=1, - indicating that the default Addresses subtype that will be used for forms printing is 1 - Permanent residence.
If you are satisfied with this assignment, then proceed to step 4.
If you would like to change this assignment, then replace the default value assigned to the variable key with the value of the new address subtype you wish to use.
Review the value assigned to variable key YERM. As delivered, this key is associated with the value &ADDRS=1, - indicating that the default Addresses subtype that will be used for forms distribution, provided that distribution is outsourced, is 1 - Permanent residence.
If you would like to change this assignment, then replace the default value assigned to the variable key with the value of the new address subtype you wish to use.
If you would like to define backup address subtypes in the event that the primary subtype is not available for the employee, configure the value as shown in the following example:
&ADDRS=5/1, - indicating that address subtype 5 - Mailing address would be selected for the employee. However, in the event that no mailing address is specified for the employee in address subtype 5, the system would revert to address subtype 1 as a backup.
(Any combination of backup suptypes is permissible, for example: &ADDRS=5/1,&ADDRS=1/5/3, or &ADDRS=1/3/5/2, ... )
If you are satisfied with this assignment, then proceed to step 5.
If applicable, save any changes you have made to variable keys YER and YERM, then select Generate.
Afterward, exit this IMG step and proceed with configuration.
