In this step you convert deduction wage types to be limited that you maintained under Release 3.0*, 3.1*, 4.0A or 4.0B. If you did not use the limits functions in a release prior to 4.5A, then you do not need to do anything in this step.
Up to and including Release 4.0B, processing class 77 was used for the RT storage and cumulation of deduction wage types to be limited. This processing class can no longer be used for this purpose. As from Release 4.5A, processing class 41 is used instead.
Calculation rule K024 in subschema KAL0 and KMC0 has been modified to reflect this change. This rule checks the values in processing class 41. The call of this rule in subschema KAL0/KMC0 has been changed accordingly.
You need to convert the values for the deduction wage types you maintained for processing class 77 in an earlier release to processing class 41. The values in processing class 77 for the deduction wage types then have to be cleared.
To do this, you have to start the conversion program RPCLIMIT.
Requirements
- You have used the limits functionality in 4.0B or a prior release
- Your deduction wage types are already maintained in processing class 77
Standard settings
Starting with release 4.5A, the deductions to be limited in the SAP standard no longer use the old processing class 77.
Activities
- Start the conversion program to convert the values in processing class 77 to processing class 41.
- NOTE: Make sure that you start the report for country grouping 07 (the default value is 10).
- Check the log of the conversion program.
- Check the call of rule K024 in subschema KAL0 and KMC0. For the case you already have your own copy of rule K024, please adjust the call of your rule in schema KAL0 and KMC0 and the decision performed within the rule itself, to reflect the change of processed Processing Class 41.
Further notes
This report converts all wage types with a value in processing class 77.
For more information on this step, please refer to the report documentation. Please take into account, the switch of processing class is performed in the US as of release 4.0A and for Canada as of release 4.5A.
