In this step, you create number range intervals for each company code in your organization. Every time you transmit a savings bond file to the Bank of Canada, a number is assigned to the file from this number range. This ensures a unique transmission ID on each transmission file.

Activities

  1. Specify object RP_CBSID on the Number range object maintenance screen and choose Number ranges.
  2. Specify a company code and choose Change intervals.
  3. On the Maintain Number Range Interval screen, choose Insert intervals to create a new interval and specify the following information
    • 01 as number range number
    • 9999 as the to fiscal year in the Year field
    • 00001 as the From number
    • 99999 as the To number
  4. Save your entries and repeat the procedure for each of your company codes.
