Use

In this Customizing activity, you define and maintain personnel subareas and company settings.

Requirements

You have implemented the relevant personnel subareas correctly and maintained the following activities:

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with empty tables.

Note: If a company experiences difficulties or undergoes reorganization, it can be specified at different levels, as follows:

  • At company level, when the entire company has been recognized as being in difficulty or undergoing reorganization.
    To apply the reorganization at company level, you maintain the Companies (V_T5B1S) view.
  • At employee level, when the reorganization applies to part of the company or to a selection of employees.
    To apply the reorganization at employee level, you create an Indemnity Definition (3270) infotype record for the employee with the relevant subtype.

Activities

To define a personnel subarea, complete the following:

  1. Choose the activity Maintain personnel subareas.
  2. Click New entries.
  3. Enter the relevant personnel subarea.
  4. Delimit the record.
  5. Specify the official and/or correspondence language of the subarea.

    Note that the system determines the official language based on the subarea. If the employee's subarea does not contain this information, then the system determines the official language based on the address of the employee's company operations. For more information about determining the official language, see the following:

  6. Enter the address key stored in table T536C.
  7. Specify whether the Maribel regulation applies to the workers belonging to the previously selected personnel subarea.
  8. Save your entries.
  9. Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any further entries.

To define a company, complete the following:

  1. Choose the activity Maintain companies .
  2. Click New entries.
  3. Enter the company code.
  4. Delimit the record.
  5. Specify the official and/or correspondence language, as described above.
  6. Specify whether the company is in difficulty or being restructured. This information is relevant for social insurance (SI) purposes.
  7. Enter the bank account, the tax number and the SI country.
  8. Save your entries.
