Use
In this IMG step, you maintain the groups to which you assign the relevant institutions in the activity Maintain Institutions. Institution groups enable you to group governmental and non-governmental institutions according to type. You can create or change institution groups in the range beginning with 1*, 2* ... until 9* or the letters Y*or Z*.
Note
If you do not specify any structure, no format check will be performed. However, the SI number will always be checked for consistency.
Requirements
No preliminary steps required.
Standard settings
The SAP system is delivered with a set of standard institution groups that are uniquely identified by a 4-character code.
The namespace 0* is reserved for the standard delivered institution groups by SAP. A change in these institution groups will result in a modification.
Activities
- Enter the relevant country grouping (12) and make changes if necessary.
- An indicator enables you to specify whether an institution group should be specific to a company / personnel subarea or not.
- The Check Structure Name field enables you to check the format of the official registration number of the relevant group, such as the social security number (always subject to a consistency check) or the child allowance fund number.
- Save your entries.
- Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any other further entries.
