Use

In this IMG step, you specify whether an address should be international or not. By doing so, you activate the International version button in table Addresses via Address Management (T536C) (see also the activity Maintain Addresses), which enables you to enter another address for the same institution. For Belgium, however, customers should not enable any character sets but add their own entries within the customer name range (0-9) instead and define the languages other than the default one. To link an entry to a specific language and set the default language, maintain the activity Maintain Customer Languages.

No preliminary steps required.

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with a set of standard character sets preceeded by an identifier for international addresses (A, B, C, etc.).

Activities

To activate a character set:

  1. Select the applicable character set.
  2. Set the indicator Active to activate the address as an international address.
  3. Save your entries.
  4. Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any further entries.

To add you own entries:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter a single-digit code within the customer name range.
  3. Set the relevant indicator.
  4. Save your entries.
  5. Repeat the previously mentioned steps for any further entries.

Example

If the default language is Dutch, you must define entries for French (FR) and German (DE) in this activity:

  • 0 (Dutch)
  • 1 (French)
  • 3 (German)
