In this section you can adapt the rule used to calculate wage type values regarding several types of leave payments to employees.

Leave wage types already filled in with the corresponding values are proportionalized in accordance to the number of employee absences.

Requirements

Before carrying on with this step, you must make sure that:

  1. There have been created absence wage types specific for your company as specified in: Payroll --> Payroll Brazil --> Absences --> Create wage type catalog .
  2. Define if the basis of absence calculation will be month days or commercial month.
  3. Having copied main scheme BR00 and sub-schemas BRAL and BRFE to schemas with new names permitted for customers (for example, schema ZBR0 and sub-schemas ZRAL and ZRFE).

Standard settings

The SAP standard version provides the rule to calculate leave wage types for all employee groupings. The values are divided by the number of days in a month and multiplied by the number of absence days.

This rule offers the option to calculate leave amounts based on month days (calendar).

Recommendation

Adapt the standard calculation rule to the needs of your company. That might happen, for example, if you use the commercial month (30 days) as your the basis for your calculations.

Activities

RESET N1

  1. Check the standard rule supplied by SAP.
  2. Copy the calculation rule BRFK to another rule with a new name. For example, ZRFK.
  3. In rule ZRFK please override, if necessary:
    1. The supplied leave wage types by the ones created for your company.
    2. If you are using the commercial month as basis for your calculations, deactivate the rules BRFK, BRF6 and BRX0 in the schema (warning: BRFK comes up twice in the schema and it must be deactivated twice). Then, activate the rules BRFI, BR6F and BR0X, that can be found in the standard schema, but are deactivated by default.
  4. Copy sub-schema BRFE to a new one, for example ZRFE.
  5. Replace:
    1. The new rule ZRF1 call in the new sub-schema ZRFE (from where it is acessed).
    2. The sub-schema ZRFE call in sub-schema ZRAL.
    3. The sub-schema ZRAL call in main schema ZBR0.
  6. Save your changes.

Further notes

  1. If you have changed the standard rule, please use main schema ZBR0 instead of BR00, whenever you run your payroll.
  2. For further information on how to copy calculation rules and calculation schemas, see the specific transaction documentation in menu option Help -> Application help.
