In this step, you assign a technical wage type to each garnishment type stored in table Subtype Characteristics (T591A) to trigger the appropriate garnishment calculation process in payroll.

Standard setup

Per default, the SAP R/3 system is shipped with the following combinations:

  • Alimony (/510)
  • Wage delegation (/512)
  • Outstanding alimony (/511)
  • Regular garnishment (/514)
  • Wage transfer (/513)

Note that each garnishment type is unique. You can, however, assign a technical wage type to more than one garnishment type.
