Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the absence code used to indicate a recognized partial illness (RPI). The absence code is used to label an RPI absence within a personal calendar.
Requirements
You have recorded an RPI for an employee using the Reorganization measure field of the Planned Working Time (0007) infotype record. Note that for an RPI absence, you must enter 005 (Actual working hours with loss of income) in the Reorganization measure field.
The start and end dates of the RPI have been specified.
Standard settings
Activities
To define an absence code for RPI, complete the following:
- Determine the code to indicate an RPI absence (your absence category for illness and labor accident, for example A and Z).
- This code is used in the absence splitting table and normally applies after the first 30 days of illness (note this is customizable). For more information about absence sequence generation and absence splitting, see Customizing activity Absence Sequence Generation (Absence Splitting).
- Determine whether the guaranteed monthly wage (GMW) will be paid to employees with RPI absences.
- Note, according to Belgian law, employers do not have to pay the GMW during an RPI absence. However, if you choose to pay the GMW, you must delete some entries in the Absence Splitting BE (V_T5BP4) view. If you delete the Absence modifier (BEMOD) table entries relating to the RPI value (03), then RPI calculations are based on calendar days (not on the employee's work schedule).
Example
To define an RPI absence code of Z5, the Absence Splitting BE (V_T5BP4) view is maintained as follows:
Moabw ansta Modif Modif text Abs.cat Seq.No. No.days bkode GMW
12 1 3 RPI Recogni. Z 1 9999 5
In this example, an absence due to RPI will be indicated in the corresponding employee's personal calendar by the value Z5.
